Through a collected archive of historical photographs, memorabilia, newspaper clippings, and personal letters, the presentation tells the story of the various personalities and events that have shaped the organization, the professional and societal causes championed by the organization’s members, and the organization’s efforts to educate the public on the important role of architects in society. The webinar touches on historical events of local, state, and national significance and illustrates the organizational, leadership, and community outreach efforts necessary for successful advocacy of the architectural profession. It is intended for enthusiasts of local architectural history and biographical history, as well as the emerging leaders within AIA.
